Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Goods Operators Vehicles or OTV License in person, the applicant has to visit any nearest office of the Ghana Revenue Authority office (GRA) in his/her state of residence.
2. The address and contact details of branch offices across the country can be found in the following Contact link
3. Visit the office and get an application form.
4. Fill in the application form accurately and take the stamped slip from the bank with the filled forms.
5. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. Submit the filled form to the attending officer who will verify and process your document.
7. Applicant will be issue with the acknowledgement payment receipt head to the designated bank and make the payment.
8. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
9. If all the information is in order, the applicant will be issued with the licences upon payment of the licences fee.
10. The processing time for this procedure takes 2 days.

Required Documents

• Accurately filled application form
• Copies of a Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association should be submitted to the Board for record purposes.
• Log book
• Other form of proof of ownership if log book does not bear applicants name (Lease agreement from financier of investment).
• Proof of payment of a tax clearance fee
• Valid Third Party Insurance Certificate.
• Any supporting document (as required)

Eligibility

• All motorist operating the goods operator’s vehicle, / OTV industry in Ghana.

Fees

Class ‘G’ licenses goods:

• Up to 5 tons , 300,000
• Exceeding 5 and up to 10 ton , 400,000
• Exceeding 10 tons and up to 30 ton , 600,000
• Exceeding 30 tons , 700,000

Validity

• The license validity is for 1 year.
