Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Extension of Classes on a Driving Permit in person, the applicant has to visit any nearest office of the Ghana Revenue Authority office (GRA) in his/her state of residence.

3. Visit the office and get an application form.
4. Fill in the application form accurately and take the stamped slip from the bank with the filled forms with the required attachments including Medical form endorsed by medical personnel to Face Technology.
5. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. Then Head to the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV) together with the Driving Instructor, Driving School Certificate of Completion for the tested class and bank receipt of Test Fees for the process of payment registration and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. The IOV will issue the applicant a copy and send the other copy of Certificate of Competence (CoC) to Face Technologies upon successful completion of the Driver test.
8. Face Technologies Offices will verify and process the permit upon payment of the Driving Permit production fee (Cash) to Face Technologies Offices
9. Face technology will then take the applicant’s bio metric information {if applicable} and the applicant will be issued with his/her driver’s licences within 60 minutes, while it will take up to 48 hours for upcountry offices.

Eligibility

• Holders of a valid driver’s licences.

Fees

• Payment Slip of GHS 25,000 for test fees payable to GRA
• Payment Slip of GHS 41,000 for class extension payable to GRA.
• GHS 80,000 cash payable at the Face Technologies offices

Validity

• The registration certificate validity is for 1 year.
