Apply In-Person:

  1. The application form for Accelerated Response Fund (GARFUND) forms is available in the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP).contact link
  2. Application form can be obtained from the respective office.
  3. Applicant has to enter all information the application form.
  4. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents are necessary for completing this procedure.
  5. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
  6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  7. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant from while submitting it at the office.
  8. If all above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their (GARFUND).
  9. Generally, the processing time for this procedure 3 weeks.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • The purpose of the fund is to fund activities related to HIV-AIDS. GARFUND started operating in Ghana in 2002, The funds are financed by Donors who contribute the basket of Funds since 2002.Close to 3000 NGO and CBOs have been funded.
  • The Fund is focusing on particularly on Care and support of people with HIV-Aids in Ghana and less on prevention. The Fund receives application from across the country but some regions may end up getting more projects funded than others.
