Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Request for Seed Fund Grant for iTaukei Landowners, the applicant must visit the iTaukei Land Trust Board office in Fiji. Contact Link
2. The applicant must write a request letter stating the reason for the request of Seed Fund Grant.
3. The Land Owner’s Affairs Officer in the TLTLB office will receive the application and check the eligibility criteria for granting the Seed Fund to the applicant.
4. If the applicant qualifies the eligibility criteria set by the committee, then the Seed Fund Granting will be approved to the applicant.
5. The fee details and the processing time for granting the Seed Fund will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Eligibility

• The iTaukei Land Owners in Fiji are basically eligible to apply for Seed Funding Grant.
• However, there are various selection criteria set up the committee such as:

First Round Selection Criteria are:

• The applicants are landowners.
• The applicants are leasing their own landowning unit land.
• The applicants have assisted themselves in starting their project and require assistance to further the same.
• The applicants are engaged in agricultural, development or commercial ventures that denote the business aspect of their request.

Second Round Selection Criteria are:

• Individual Applicants to hold a lease with the Board.
• Individual Applicants to hold leases less than 4 years old.
• Individual Applicants to be landowners to their leased land.
• Individual Applicants to hold Agricultural leases.
• Landowners as a Mataqali, Tokatoka or Yavusa submitting projects for assistance must be using their own land if not leasing.
• Landowners as a Mataqali, Tokatoka or Yavusa submitting projects must indicate some sustainability of the project through the involvement of their youth.
• Landowners as a Mataqali, Tokatoka or Yavusa submitting projects that is based on Agriculture.

Fees

• The fees details for the application will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Validity

• The validity period of the Seed Funding Grant will be intimated to the applicant by the authorities while rewarding the Grant Fund.
