Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get Interim Import Licence for Arms, the applicant must visit the Fiji Police Force office. Contact Link
2. The applicant should obtain the appropriate application form from the authorities in the Fiji Police office.
3. The prescribed fee for the application must also be paid and the receipt must be attached along with the application.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details and then along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Commissioner of the Police Force.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. After submitting the application, it will be verified by the Minister and other officials.
7. Then, the Minister along with the approval from the Cabinet will approve the interim import license to the applicant.
8. The fee details and the processing time will be intimated to the applicant at the customs office.
   

NOTE: Individuals who carry arms and ammunitions for personal use during their short stay must drop their arms at the Fiji Customs office, nearest Police station, or else at the port of entry.

Validity

• The interim import license is valid for a duration of 14 days from the date of issue.
• But it can be renewed by the authorized officer if the applicant requests.
