Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Inter Country Adoption, the applicant must visit The Laws of Fiji Office. Contact Link
- The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the Laws of Fiji Office.
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- A person, or a couple (applicants) who wishes to make an Intercountry adoption must register themselves as a “Adoptive Parents” and get the approval from the Director of the department.
- The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents, it should be submitted to the Director of the department.
- The application will be verified on various factors set by the Fiji Laws.
- After completing the entire verification and background check of the applicants, the applicant (s) will be registered as a “Adoptive Parents” under Fiji Law.
- Further the details will be sent to the Consent countries for adoption services.
- If there is/are any children available for adoption, the process will begin in accordance to the adoption law set by both Fiji and the respective country.
- There will be minimal charges for the adoption process in accordance with the Fiji Law.
- The processing time will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

EligibilityEdit
- The Intercountry Adoption application can be filed by the applicants falling under any one of the categories.
- Solely by a Person.
- Jointly by a Couple.
- By a married person or a person in a de facto relationship whose spouse or de facto partner is the birth parent of the child.
- Note: Other major and minor eligibilities will be confronted the applicants while making the adoption.

- There will be minimal charges for the adoption process in accordance with the Fiji Law.
ValidityEdit
- The intercountry adoption application will be valid until the applicant (s) complete and sign the adoption process.

- If the applicants (husband/wife/a person) wish to adopt from some other country other than Fiji, then they must first register themselves in the Laws of Fiji, and get the approval from the respective authorities before proceeding with the adoption processes.
