Apply In-Person:
- To Request for Early or Partial Withdrawal of FNPF (Fiji National Provident Fund) Money for Unemployment, the applicant must visit the Fiji National Provident Fund office. Contact Link
- The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the FNPF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents, it should be submitted to the respective authority in the FNPF office.
- After submitting the application form, the authorities will verify the application details.
- If the supporting documents are legitimate, then the early withdrawal money will be approved for Unemployment purposes to the applicant (as a member).
- The processing fee for the application is $10.00, and it can be paid in Cash and/or deducted from the Member’s General Account.
- The application will be processed in 3 working days from the date of submission by the member of FNPF.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Dully Filled Application Form
- An original or certified copy of the birth certificate. (Post 2000)
- An original or certified copy of the marriage certificate. (Post 2000)
Unemployment Assistance:
- Letter from Employer stating termination, non-renewal of contract, laid off, redundancy or seasonal worker.
- Acceptance letter of resignation from employer.
- Evidence should be on the employer’s letter head.
- Member must apply for this assistance within 6 months from the date of unemployment.
- Resignation on own accord and cases pending disciplinary tribunal can be assisted after 3 months from the last date of unemployment.
- Members who access this withdrawal will be allowed to reapply after three (3) years from the time this policy comes into effect (1 April 2020).
- Note: All document copies must be certified by either a FNPF officer, Justice of Peace or Commissioner for Oath.

The general account holder members of FNPF applying under Unemployment withdrawal must be:
- The member who has a General Account entitlement.
- The member who has resigned, terminated, non-renewal of contract, seasonal worker, permanently laid off or made redundant from work.

- The processing fee for the application is $10.00.
ValidityEdit
- The validity period will be intimated to the applicant by the authorities in the FNPF office.

- After the approval, the applicant will receive $220 on a fortnightly basis and will be paid out in the following preferred modes:
- Direct Transfer to Bank Account
- M-PAISA
- Post Fiji Bill Pay
- Members will receive the money on the scheduled payment dates.
- Maximum withdrawal amount is $1,000 for each withdrawal.
- Note: The Fund will not assist for payment of consultation or observation fees where member/patient is admitted for less than 24 hrs.

- If the general account holder members of FNPF wants early or partial withdrawal of their Fiji National Provident Fund for the purpose are funding for Unemployment purposes, then they will receive a maximum of $1100 as a Member of FNPF.

- Any Early Withdrawal will reduce future Early Withdrawal Entitlements, also reducing your retirement funds for pension or lump sum payment upon reaching the qualifying age of 55 years or upon full withdrawal.
- For first housing transfers of 51%, note that your General Account will zerorise, until after the Preserved Account is replenished with the transferred amount or after 5 years, whichever comes first.
