Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for passport, the applicant must visit the Fiji Immigration Department. Contacts
2. The passport application form should be obtained from the nearest passport office, or else it can download from the official website. Application Form
3. The passport application should be filled with all the necessary details.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and then it should be submitted along with the required documents to the Director of Immigration Department.
6. Then the applicant must visit the passport office for personal verification.
7. Before going to the passport office, the applicant should make appointment online 48 hours prior to the visit.Appointment link
8. In the link, the applicant should select the immigration office, date and time.
9. After the personal verification in the passport office, the application will be verified by the Immigration department.
10. Then the Fiji Immigration will issue the Passport to the applicant.

12. The processing time for getting ordinary passport will take between 5 days and 21 days.
13. The emergency passport application will take 1 day to process.

Eligibility

Any Fiji Citizens is eligible to apply for the Passport in Fiji. (Citizenship status acquired through birth, registration, and naturalization are considered for passport issuance)

Fees

Standard Passport

•  Ordinary Processing - new or renewal – $200
• Urgent Processing Fee - new or renewal - $275
  

Emergency Passport

• Ordinary processing- $275
  

Official Passport

• Ordinary processing- $250
• Urgent processing- $300
  

Diplomatic Passport

• Ordinary processing- $250
• Urgent processing- $300
  

Other types of Passports and process

• Urgent processing - new or renewal (weekend/public holidays) - $608
• Ordinary processing - lost/stolen/damaged and valid- $400
• Urgent processing - lost/stolen/damaged and valid- $520
• Endorsement of passport - $150
  

Change of application

• Change of application from ordinary processing to urgent processing- $125
• Change of application from ordinary processing to urgent processing during the weekend / public holiday- $410
  

Validity

• Standard and Diplomatic passport is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.
• Emergency and Certificate of Identity passports are valid for 1 year.
