Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Inspection of Timber, the applicant must go to the Biosecurity of Authority office in Fiji. Contact Link
  2. The timber importer (applicant) must obtain the appropriate application form from the Fiji Biosecurity Authority office.
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents, it should be submitted to the Biosecurity Authority officer.
  5. The prescribed fee payment must be made and the payment receipt must be attached along with the application form.
  6. After submitting the application, the Biosecurity officer will verify the application.
  7. Then the official will grant the permission to inspect the timer for the import purposes.
  8. The complete fee details to get the Timber inspection are given in the “Fees” section of this page.
  9. The processing time will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

EligibilityEdit

The timber owner/agent must apply for the timber inspection application to the Biosecurity officer.

FeesEdit

  • Inspection & Release of sawn timber & logs – per cubic metre - $11. 21
  • Supervision of fumigation/BAF treatment of sample timber – per treatment - $71. 01


ValidityEdit

The timber inspection is valid only for 6 months from the date of issue.
