Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for importing a private vehicle used in foreign country to Ethiopia is available in the Ministry of Trade and Industry contact link.
2. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form before submitting it.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents needed for this procedure to complete.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant should make sure to attach photocopies of necessary documents along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, applicant can get their document within 60 days.
8. Applicant will be notified about their document by concerned authority.
9. Applicant can get their document by visiting the office.
10. If there is no information provided regarding the document within 60 days, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.
