Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get Duty Free Import Permit for Diplomatic Vehicles, the applicant has to approach Ministry of Foreign Affairs Link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the respective officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application are not accepted)
4. Make sure the applicant has all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form.
6. Submit the application form to the respective officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority request.
8. After payment was is done, the authority will issue the import permit within the stipulated period of time.

• Bill of lading, Airway Bill, invoice, packing list -3 copies.
• The previous imported vehicle (if used three years) clearance from custom 3 copies.
• If the owner is individual person, ID Card -3 copies.
• If the owner is working/employee by Government like an expert, a supporting letter from his office.
