Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To cancel commercial registration, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Trade and Industry contacts link
2. The applicant has to get the form from the respective department office to cancel the license.
3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the form.
4. Make sure that the applicant has to give the necessary all documents (photocopies and originals) mentioned in “Required Documents” in the section of this page.
5. Submit the application form to the respective officer with the necessary documents.
6. Fee must be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all above mentioned steps are completed successfully, the commercial registration will be cancelled.

Eligibility

• The business person was registered by submitting false information or document, the business person is found to have violated this proclamation or regulations and directives issued for the implementation of this proclamation.

Information which might help

• Cancellation registration of business organizations shall only be valid a month after the registering authority made it public by means of accessible communication and information technology. Where the cancellation involves sole proprietorships it shall be valid from the date of such cancellation.
• If a business license of a business person is cancelled, his/her commercial registration shall also be cancelled, unless other additional business licenses are issued based on the same commercial registration

• Where the businessperson terminates his business activity by his own choice.
• Where it is verified that the business license was issued or renewed based on falsified document.
• Where the businessperson has utilized the business license for an unauthorized purpose.
• Where the businessperson fails to rectify defects that resulted in the suspension of his business license within the time given.
• Where the businessperson is declared bankrupt.
• Where the businessperson fails to have their licence renewed under the provisions of this Proclamation.
• Where the commercial registration of the businessperson is cancelled under the Proclamation.
