Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Precious Minerals Export Permit or License, the applicant has to approach Ministry of Mines and Petroleum link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the respective officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application are not accepted)
4. Make sure the applicant has all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form.
6. Submit the application form to the respective officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request.
8. After payment is done, the authority will issue the hardcopy of permit within the stipulated period of time.

Required Documents

• An application,
• The commercial registration certificate,
• A passport size photograph,
• An investment permit and residence permit if it is a foreign-owned investment,
• A memorandum and articles of association or contract of partnership,
• A certificate of professional competence in testimony of the fulfilment of the requirements provided by the relevant government office,
• A document evidencing the capital allocated for the commercial activity,
• A taxpayer registration certificate,
• A recommendation given by concerned government office, which testifies that the business premises in which the business is to be conducted is suitable for the intended business and
• Where the application is submitted by an attorney, an authenticated power of attorney and photocopies of the attorney’s identification card or passport
• A valid business registration certificate.
• Invoice(s) from the seller of the mineral.
• Mineral Analysis Certificate and Evaluation Report obtainable from the Director of Geological Survey Department
• Police Clearance from the town where the mine is situated.
• Completed application forms for an export permit obtainable from the Director of Mines.
• Mineral Royalty clearance
