Make an Appointment online
- First of all you have to make an appointment through the page :Appointment
- You agree with your username and password, if you do not have one you can create one at the moment and if you forgot the support service is very good (On the page you have interactive tutorials to create your user).
- Schedule the appointment to the nearest centre, whether or not in El Salvador
- And ready take your appointment with you.
Apply in person
- Go to the office in which you scheduled your appointment, request for passport renewal application form stating your reasons for the application i.e. if the passport has: expired or nearing expiration, if the application is for a minor or elderly person, if the application is for a damaged, lost or stolen passport.
- Fill in the application form with the help of an official in the office.
- Present the required documentation for the passport renewal to the Information area, including payment receipts for the issuance of a passport.
- The application will be attended at the window for data entry into the system and the corresponding file will be printed.
- The printed form will be delivered for data review, then laminated and your Passport is delivered.
- If for some reason both parents or none can go to the Migration branch to process their passport with the child or adolescent; then the absent parent or parents must authorize via notarial the person who will accompany the NNA to the processing of their passport, according to the authorization form

- All El Salvador passport holder are eligible to renew their passports if: Stolen, Lost, Damaged, Expired or about to Expire.
FeesEdit
- The Online Application service is free. The passport value in El Salvador is US $ 25.00 dollars, in Central America it is US $ 40 dollars and in the rest of the world it is US $ 60 dollars.
- Cost for theft or loss, first time: Cost: $ 25.00 dollars -Cost for theft or loss, second time: Cost: $ 25.00 dollars. More $ 50.00 dollars for fines payable at the branch where you perform the renewal process.
- For minors Cost: $ 25.00 dollars for passport rights which you can pay in the collection office in branches of Migration where you carry out your procedure.

- The time allocated by the Government of El Salvador, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifies that the passport issued by the Salvadoran state expires every 5 years. In order to renew it, you must wait 6 months before your deadline to request your appointment.

InstructionsEdit
Renewal of passport for adults due to theft, theft, loss or deterioration.
- Notice of loss and theft, which you must notify at the branch where you intend to complete your renewal process.

Important:

Renewal of passports by expiration for Children and Adolescents
- Present Original Birth Certificate Certification, in perfect conditions, valid for one year.
- Both parents present themselves with DUI in the original in force and a copy enlarged by 150%, black and white both sides on one side of paper.
- Present receipt of payment, under the concept of right for issuance of passport.
- Present passport expired or close to expire.
- Parents must complete a Sworn Statement of Next Expiration.
Important:
- The Certification of birth certificates must be original, in perfect condition and less than one year after it was issued.
- If the minor is accompanied by a single parent, the absent parent must issue an authorization with a legalized signature before a Salvadoran notary or authorized by means of a power of attorney in which he authorizes the parent who accompanies the process the authorization for the obtaining the passport of the minor.
- If a minor is accompanied by a single parent and the reason is due to the deceased parent, the present parent must present a certificate of death certificate in perfect conditions.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- The Salvadoran passport is the official document, issued by the government of the Republic of El Salvador that identifies the Salvadoran national before the authorities of other countries, allowing the entry and exit entry through ports, airports and international access roads. It also allows to contain the entry authorization visas.
