Apply In-Person:
- To Replace Lost or Damaged Self-Help Group (Community Project) Registration Certificate in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Social Solidarity link
- Applicant can find the address and contact details in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
- Visit the office with a written application letter for the Replace Lost or Damaged Self-Help Group (Community Project) Registration Certificate.
- Make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Complete the application form with required details and information in respective fields and sections.
- Attest it with the applicant’s signature and attach the required documents with the completed application form.
- Submit it to the relevant authority at the office and pay the Application and Processing fee as directed by the officials.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.

- Contact the local Self-Help Group (Community Project) office in the applicant area to discuss the situation and what you need to do to replace the certificate.
- Provide the necessary documents to prove their identity and his/her involvement in the project. This can include a copy of the original certificate, if available, and a letter of authorization from the project leader.
- Submit an application to request a replacement certificate. This application must include the original certificate number and other supporting documents.
- Pay the necessary fee to obtain a duplicate certificate.
- Once the application is approved and the fee is paid, the Self-Help Group (Community Project) office will issue a new registration certificate.

- A group should be registered in the Sub- County it resides. The registration offices are in all sub-counties in the districts around the country.
- If three months after submitting a programmer for self-help projects the county chief is not notified by the district planning committee to the contrary, he or she may proceed to carry out, or authorize the sub county chief or chiefs to carry out, the projects listed in the programmer.
- Except that no projects shall be commenced in respect of which there is specified in the programmer the need for financial assistance from the Government or in respect of which a planning committee has notified the county chief that such assistance shall be required or
- In respect of which any other assistance from the Government has either been requested in the programmer or the county chief has been notified by a planning committee that such assistance shall be required and no assurance of such assistance has been given to the chief by the appropriate department of the Government.
