Procedure

Apply In-Person:

• Proof of completion of a minimum of 40 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in the past two years.
• A completed renewal application form.
• A copy of a valid photo ID.
• An official transcript from an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• A valid certificate of good standing from the Veterinary Technicians National Exam (VTNE).
• An updated professional resume.
• A copy of the current professional liability insurance policy.
• A copy of the current professional license issued by the Ministry of Health.
• Two letters of recommendation from licensed veterinarians.

Instructions

• The renewal period for the practice license is from 1st April to 30th June of any given financial year.
• The validity of the license is subject to the holder being up to date on the renewal fees.
• The Council may remove the applicant's name from its register if he/she fails to pay any fee provided for in the veterinary authority Act within a period of six months from the date when it was due.
• Applicants that have acquired an additional qualification or have changed their surname in the past twelve months please contact the office to collect and complete the relevant form.
