Apply In-Person:
- To Obtain License to Discharge Treated Waste Water into the Environment in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry is Environment and Forest, Regional Office

- Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
- Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
- The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
- This application will be processed and information will be verified by the Ministry is Environment and Forest, Regional Office.
- If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
- After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their license.
- If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
- The Processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

InstructionsEdit
- An application for an effluent discharge licence should be accompanied by the prescribed fee as set out in the Regulations.
- The decision of the Authority together is communicated to the applicant within thirty working days from the date of submission of the duly completed application.
- Where the Authority approves an application for the grant of an effluent discharge licence it shall issue an effluent discharge licence within twenty-one days.

- The license is issued by the National Environment Management Authority allow local authority or person operating a sewage system or owner or operator of any trade or industry to discharge treated wastewater into the environment.
