Apply In-Person:

  1. To Get License or Permit for Ships and Boats, the applicant must register The Ministry of Trade and Industry Contact link
  2. The applicant should obtain the application form from the authority.
  3. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
  4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  5. Once the application form and any relevant supporting information/documents have been completed, signed, stamped, and certified where required.
  6. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
  7. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority request.
  8. After receiving the application and documents, the authorities will check the submitted document set.
  9. Authorities will process this request either manually or digitally using the computer for electronic processing all the required documents will be scanned.
  10. Authorities will issue an acknowledgement receipt for submission of application. Please collect it and please keep it safe for future reference.
  11. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  12. Once the verification of all the documents and application has been done, the applicant will be informed through phone or email to collect the final license within 15 days.
  13. The processing time for this procedure is 15 days.

  • Certificate from Village Panchayat / Notified Area Committee / Municipal Corporation stating that the applicant is a Bonafide fisherman
  • Fishing Vessel or Craft registration certificate
  • Invoice / Bills of purchase of Fishing Craft or Vessel
  • Passport Photograph
  • Copy of ID proofs and residence proofs such as Voter ID, PAN card, Passport, and Driving license
  • Affidavit of owner stating that the Fishing vessel or craft is financed by self or any financial institution

EligibilityEdit

  • Fishermen should have a valid registration certificate or Ships and Boats should be registered.
  • Fishermen who are actively involved in fishing for livelihood.
  • The applicant must be a resident of Egypt.

  • A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.



ValidityEdit

  • A license or permit granted for fishing shall be valid for a year unless it is suspended or cancelled earlier.

  • The government of Egypt provides various aids to the fishermen and their families which can be availed only by having the license.
  • The government of Egypt provides various upliftment programs such as education quota, employment opportunities, and various welfare schemes to fishermen and their families on the basis of the license.
  • The government of Egypt also provides subsidies to fishermen having the license.
