Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get License or Permit for Fruits and Fruits Business in person, the applicant has to approach the Egypt Ministry of Health Contact link
2. Information related to the respective office and License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
3. Application form should be obtained from the respective office.
4. Applicant should read carefully in the application form after all details must be filled and submitted to the authority.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. Please refer to the fee details in the “Fees” section of this page.
8. The authority will dispatch an inspector to the facility premises for inspection to determine if Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Storage Practice (GSP) during the packing, processing, storage, labeling, sterilizing, testing, dispatch, quality control, and quality assurance of the products.
9. A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and he/she will be required to rectify the problem.
10. Applicants will get a notification regarding the availability of their permit within 2 days to 7 days, via SMS.
11. After getting the notification, the applicant can visit the office for getting the permit.
12. If there is no information regarding the license provided within 2 days to 7 days, applicants can visit the office for getting the status of their application.

Eligibility

• Must be a registered vegetable dealer/trader/farmer/agriculturist under the Government of Egypt.
  
• Must have registered the product with the Health Authority.
  

Fees

• Application fee of EGP 1000.00 (non-refundable)

Validity

• The certificate is valid for a period of one year.

• The purpose of processing is to prevent microbial spoilage and natural physiological deterioration of the plant cells.
