Procedure

1. Go to Registrants Registry Office. Please see the list below for the offices:

2. Obtain a declaration prescribed form - questionnaire for registered partnerships.
3. Fill in the prescribed form.
4. Submit required documents.
5. Pay the fees.

Required Documents

• birth certificate
• proof of citizenship
• extract data from population records information system of the place of residence
• an extract from the population register of civil status
• final court decision to cancel a partnership, or a death certificate of the deceased partner

Eligibility

• A condition of entry into the partnership is to at least one of the persons entering the partnership was a citizen of the Czech Republic .
• The partnership can not enter a person other relatives in direct line and siblings.
• The partnership can not enter a person who
  • He reached the age of 18,
  • He has no legal capacity,
  • previously married,
  • previously entered into a partnership or similar union of same sex abroad and their marriage or partnership or a similar bundle lasts.

Fees

• Entry into registered partnerships between persons unless they have permanent residence in the Czech Republic is charged CZK 3,000
• Entry into registered partnerships between persons of which only one of them has permanent residence in the Czech Republic, is charged CZK 2,000
• Issue certificate of legal capacity to enter into civil partnerships abroad or a foreigner is charged CZK 500.

Documents to Use

• A citizen is not obliged to submit documents, if they actually contained therein Registry Office can verify from him led registry book, from the basic register of the population, population information system, the information system of identity cards or from the information system for travel documents.
• According to 34 Registries Act, a person who wants to enter into a partnership that is a citizen and has permanent residence abroad, must prove their identity for the prescribed form to join the aforementioned documents or equivalent similar documents when they are issued by a foreign state. The documents mentioned above under letter. c) and d) or equivalent similar documents when they are issued by a foreign state shall be issued by the State in whose territory the fiance stay.
• If a person wants to enter into a partnership, an alien shall submit to the registry office before the creation of the partnership certificate issued by the Ministry of Interior of residency in the Czech Republic; this does not apply if the European Union citizen, a citizen of another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, or their family members. This certificate may not be the day of the partnerships older than 7 working days.
• Proof of legal capacity entering into a partnership may not be the date of the marriage or partnership-6 months and older.
• Registering a registry office may, at the request of the person who wants to enter into partnerships and seeking international protection in the Czech Republic or is a refugee or a person enjoying subsidiary protection, the submission of certain documents waived if their actions connected with hardly surmountable obstacle.

Instructions

• Persons entering into a partnership in the Czech Republic makes a statement in person before authorizing any registry office, regardless of residency future partners. Registering registry office adopts a declaration on the spot, designated by in its administrative district.
• A citizen is not obliged to submit documents if they actually contained therein Registry Office can verify the registry book kept by him, from the basic population register, population information system, the information system of identity cards or the information system for travel documents.

Need for the Document

Registered Partnership (the "Partnership") is a permanent partnership of two persons of the same sex incurred manner prescribed by law no. 115/2006 Coll., On registered partnership and amendments to some related laws, as amended, (the "Partnership Act" ).

Partnerships formed expression of will of two persons of the same sex ?in?nm form of affirmative free and complete statement of such persons that enter into partnership together.
