Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for Goods Carriage National Permit in Chhattisgarh the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

  3. Application forms can be obtained from the following link : Application forms
  4. Application in Form for grant of national goods carriage permit
  5. Application for the grant of authorisation is in Form 46 & 48. Link for form :Form 46, Form 48
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  7. Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  8. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  9. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Body built, Capacity to withstand the load etc.; will be carried by authorities.
  10. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.

Apply Online

  1. Use the following link : Online and select “Online permit” option under permit menu.
  2. In the next screen select other online service option and click “permit online” option.
  3. Select Chhattisgarh in the drop down menu and click “proceed”
  4. Please follow the screen and fill in prompted details to process your online procedure
  5. Upload required documents and take printout of acknowledgement.
  6. On the appointment date, go to RTO office before 11:30 am and submit the documents to officer at the office. He will mark the amount need to be paid at the respective counter.
  7. Pay the fees and submit the document at the counter.
  8. Authorities will process your application further.

Apply through Centres:

  1. To Apply for National Goods Carriage Vehicle Permit in Chhattisgarh, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
  6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

  • Registration Certificate of the vehicle.
  • Fitness Certificate.
  • Proof of payment of tax for the current Quarter.
  • Insurance Certificate.
  • Authorization in the bank draft.
  • No object certificate from the financier if the vehicle concerned is covered by HPA / Lease / Hypothecation.
  • Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
  • Demand drafts drawn in favor of the Authorities prescribed in respect of other states towards payment of composite taxes
  • Age Proof (any one of the following)
  • School Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Residence proof any one of the following

  • Applicant should be the owner of the vehicle.
  • The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years for Goods Carriage National Permit.

ValidityEdit

  • Permit is usually valid for 5 years
  • The renewal of permit can be obtained with Vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO
  • The age of the vehicle is also considered to restrict the validity of the permit

NOTE: Validity differs with the type of vehicle and also for the load the vehicle can manage

If National Permit is obtained for the vehicle can be operated throughout India.

  • Goods Carriage National Permit is needed for a vehicle operator to ply his vehicle in more than 4 states.
  • Goods Carriage National Permit means a permit granted by authority to a goods carriage vehicle to operate through-out India or in such States not being less than four in number including the states in which the permit is issued
  • The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years.
