Apply In-Person:
- To register for an Automotive salesperson license, the applicant will need to complete and submit the application form to the Vehicle Sales Authority of British Columbia. Here is the contact Link
- Use the following link to download the application Link
- Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
- The applicant must submit all the required documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page. The applicant can find information on how to submit the documents in the application form.
- The applicant will also need to pay fees for registration, find fee-related information under the “Fees” section of this page.
- The applicant will need to submit a Criminal record check obtained within the last 30 days obtained from their local Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) or nearest municipal department.
- Submit the application form along with the documents to the following address: Vehicle Sales Authority of BC, 280-8029 199 Street, Langley, BC V2Y0E2.
- Once submitted and processed, the applicant will be enrolled for the licensing course, which the applicant must complete online, this must be completed within a certain deadline.
- Once the applicant completes the course, they will receive their license either by mail or must collect it in person as will be intimated by the authorities.
- The applicant shall be registered within 30 days from the completion of the course.

- To register for an Automotive salesperson license, the applicant will need to create a Vehicle Sales Authority of British Columbia account. Use the following link to the login page Link
- If the applicant has an account, log in using credentials.
- If the applicant does not have an account, follow these steps to create an account:
- On the log in page, click on the “Register” option.
- The applicant will need to enter their email ID, username and password.
- The applicant will be automatically logged in and will be able to see their log in page.
- The applicant will need to confirm the email by clicking on the link sent to their email id.
- Enter personal information and click on “Update”.
- Once logged in, the applicant will need to click on the “License Applications” icon on the left side of the page.
- Read the conditions and click on “Submit new application”.
- The applicant will be directed to the application page, enter all the relevant details, and click on “Save and Continue”.
- The applicant will have to answer questions to determine eligibility, click on “Next”.
- The applicant’s employer will have to complete the “Salesperson Authorization” section of the application form.
- The applicant must submit all the required documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page. The applicant can find information on how to submit the documents in the application form.
- Once all the question in each section has been answered, the applicant will need to make payment using a credit card/debit card.
- once the payment has been made, the application will be submitted.
- The applicant will also need to mandatorily write a salesperson registration exam.
- Once the applicant completes this course, they will obtain their salesperson license as informed by the authorities.
- The applicant shall be registered within 30 days from the completion of the course.

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant must be 19 years of age or above.
- The applicant must mandatorily complete the salesperson registration course and pass before the conditional license expiration date.
- The applicant must be employed by a licensed motor dealer, the application can be submitted before employment but will only be approved after the applicant gets a job.
- The applicant must mandatorily go through a criminal record check.
FeesEdit
- The applicant will need to pay a 45$ application fee.
- The applicant will need to pay a fee of 150$ for the first-year license.
- The applicant will need to pay a fee of 420$ to enrol in the salesperson licensing course.
ValidityEdit
- The automotive salesperson's license needs to be renewed every year.
- If the applicant does not renew the license for more than three years they will have to complete the salesperson course again.
