Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Change or Update the CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registration), the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. The applicant is required to fill out the online registration form with personal information, including full name, date of birth, nationality, and other required details and click the “Submit” button.
3. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
5. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
6. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
7. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
8. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
9. After successfully verifying identity, the applcant should be able to download and print a PDF copy of the digital CPF certificate (Comprovante de Inscrição no CPF). This document serves as proof of the CPF registration and can be used for various purposes.
10. This entire process can be completed within 20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
