Apply In Person

  1. To Apply to Enable intermediate Agents Under the Social Biofuel Seal, the applicant has to approach the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. Then the application will be processed further.
  10. The officer conducts any necessary inspections or assessments to verify compliance with the requirements.
  11. Once the review process is completed, the applicant will receive a decision on his/her application. If approved, the applicant will be notified of his/her enabled status as an intermediate agent under the Social Biofuel Seal program.
  12. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible to request the right to use the Social Biofuel Seal (SBS) in Brazil, a company must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a producer or importer of biofuels.
  • Have a social compliance program in place that meets the requirements of the SBS.
  • Be able to demonstrate that the social compliance program has a positive impact on the lives of the people involved in the production or transportation of the biofuels.
