Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Fumigation Certificate, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock – link
  2. Work with the fumigation service provider to schedule the fumigation treatment for the applicant’s goods. The treatment will be carried out according to the required standards and guidelines.
  3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  10. Then the application will be processed further.
  11. The authorized fumigation service provider will perform the fumigation treatment on the applicant’s goods to eliminate pests, insects, or other harmful organisms.
  12. After the fumigation treatment is successfully completed, the fumigation service provider will issue the fumigation certificate.
  13. Submit the fumigation certificate along with other necessary export documents to the relevant Brazilian export authorities as part of the export process.
  14. For further process, the applicant has to follow the instruction given by the officer.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
