Procedure

How to apply
Customer’s subscribers with Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) upon receiving monthly electricity bill for service rendered by the company are required to pay for their electricity bill in time through the following methods of payment.

In-person application

Post- paid methods
Cash Payment

1. Subscribers of Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) can make cash or credit card payments at private vending station (PDS’) authorized pay points which are located within official premises or at any BPC branch offices near you at the paying counters clearly marked CASHIER.

Direct Debit payments

1. Customers can also make direct debit arrangements at any of the BPC customer services centers. Customers are expected to provide their identification, Bank Debit cards and Bank statement for proof of account number.

Bank Payments

1. you can pay your electricity bill at any branch of the following banks countrywide (list below),visit any of the bank branches and make payment, BPC account number can be obtain from the banks.
   

{Barclays Bank, Standard Bank, Stanbic Bank, First Nation Bank}.

Botswana-post outlets

1. Subscribers of Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) can buy prepaid credits/token at any of Botswana-post various retail and accredited private vending station.
2. You can also purchase electricity tokens at the selected filling station, tuck-shop, and supper market.

1. Subscribes can also buy their prepaid electricity token with varies mobile communication companies i.e PosoMoney, orange money.
2. Before making any purchase of the electricity token, registered subscribes of either PosoMoney or orange money should ensure that their account has sufficient balance to cover the amount of prepaid electricity you wish to purchase.

Mobile app

1. Download SMEGA APP from the Google Play Store for (android phone) or Apple store for (I phone) and sign up if you do not have an account. Login if you already have an account.
2. Then proceed with the token purchase as instructed on the site.

Online Banking

1. BPC also has arrangements with Commercial Banks(listed below) to allow for Online Payments of electricity bills.
