1. The application for Certificate of Conduct and Character for engineers shall be made to the Engineering Registration Board(ERB), whose mandate is to ensure the highest standards of engineering practice in Botswana and protect the welfare and interest of the public in the engineering practice engineering work in Botswana is done for the public good.ERB Website
2. Applicants are required to collect three (3) copies Certificate of Good Conduct and Character Application form, obtainable at the ERB registrar’s office or download it via the ERB website ERB Application Forms
3. The certificates of good conduct and character application forms should be completed and certified by three responsible persons who are not immediately related to the applicant (engineer), but who have known the applicant for two years or more and have had opportunities of judging his conduct and character.
4. The certification forms should be sent directly to the address mentioned below, for assessment and consideration;

5. Upon receipt of the forms, the registrar will certify if the information is accurate, before registering the applicant as an engineer of the category applied for, upon approval by the board to issue the certificate of registration.

• All Engineers registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) are eligible to apply.

• No fee associate with the service.

• Full Names of the referee
• Designation of the referee
• Organization and address of the referee
• Name of the applicant (engineer)
• The duration you have been acquitted to the applicant (engineer)
• Declaration by the referee.
