Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. The request for Electrical Cable Route Identification Service shall be made to the nearest Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) branch office.BPC Branches Contact details and Map Locations
2. Applicants are required to collect and complete the Cable Route Identification Request form, available at any of the BPC branch office customer service desks. These forms are not available online.
3. The completed duly filled request form in all respect and copies of the document as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page, should be submitted to any of the BPC branch offices, customer service desk. Any omission of the supporting documents or information will render the application process incomplete.
4. Upon receipt of the application file, the customer care officer will verify if all the information and documentation are in order, before submitting the request to be accessed and processing by the BPC technical team.
5. An appropriate fee is chargeable before services are rendered. Upon making payment at the customer care office, a payment slip is issued, which will also serve as proof of submission of the application.
6. Upon identifying the cable route, the client will be furnished with the requested information using the preferable mode of notification, (in person or email).

1. Visit the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) website then select, “Customer Service” option located on the menu bar, then select “Technical Services” on the drop box and then select “Cable Route Identification” on the extended menu.
2. You will be redirected to the BPC Cable Route Identification Online Request Page.
3. Accurately fill out the request form and upload the supporting documentation as listed on the site. All fields with a red asterisk are mandatory and should be filled, any omission of such information and documentation will render the application process incomplete and submission of the request will not be possible.
4. Please ensure that all the information and documents uploaded are in order, before clicking on the “Submit” button.
5. Upon receipt of the application file, the BPC technical officer will verify if all the information and documentation have been provided, before accessing and processing the request.
6. An appropriate fee is chargeable before services are rendered. Upon making payment at the customer care office, a payment slip is issued, which will also serve as proof of submission of the application.
7. Upon identifying the cable route, the client will be furnished with the requested information via email.

• Proof of payment of a fee of P110 paid at the BPC customer service office.
• Valid Identification document (Omang or Passport)
