Procedure

• Mailed COEs: Forms are sent to pensioners in January every year and expected to be completed and returned to the Fund or to Alexander Forbes Financial Services by 31st March of the same year.
• Forms Online: You may also obtain a copy of the form through Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund's website - Link. Download, complete and send or submit the form.

Instructions

Certificate of Existence (COEs)

The Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund (BPOPF) encourage its pensioners to complete and submit the Certificate of Existence (COE) from the nearest Fund office or Fund Administrators (Alexander Forbes Financial Services).

Pensioners will received notification if they do not submit their COEs by the stated deadline, the monthly pension payments will be stopped since it would be assumed that those pensioners are deceased. It is for this reason that pensioners are encouraged to submit the forms on time.

A Certificate of Existence is a document that states that a pensioner is still alive and that the pension is being received by the rightful person.
