Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Registration of teams will only take place once, in the entire financial year commencing April to March every year, upon Call for applications submission opening; which is done annually between May and June; by the ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport & Culture (MYSC) through the government gazette or other varies advertising media.
2. Visit the MYSC office housed at the District Councils and Sub District Council offices in your area; with supporting documents and express your interest to Participate in Constituency Sports Tournament to the department concerned office. 3. Applicants should collect and completed the registration form appropriate for their sport code, forms are available for free at the service desk at any of the MYSC district offices or directly download the forms from the “Document to Use “ section of this page.
4. The completed Application forms, attached to the supporting documentation;(as listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page), should be submitted to the MYSC District Office that covers their respective place of operation and not at Head Office before the submission deadline.
5. The receiving officer will then verify that all the necessary documentation and information have been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria before registering the application file.
6. The applicant will then be issued an acknowledgment letter with a reference number by the MYSC agent.
7. All application files will be forwarded to the Constituency Committee concerned for assessment and processing which is within one month.
8. Approved applicants will be registered as participates of the tournament and notified of the outcome by phone or in-person by the MYSC district office, where the application was filed and given further instructions.

Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following requirement to be eligible;

• Unemployed youth aged 18-35 years
• Non-students
• Batswana Citizens involved in Ipelegeng, Tirelo Sechaba, Graduate Volunteer Scheme, Internship Program Herd Boys, Farm and House Assistants
• BNSC affiliates are not eligible

No fee associate with the service

Validity

The competition is held for two months, yearly

Need for the Document

The Constituency Sport Tournament is a mass participation sport leisure program introduced to curb social ills amongst the unemployed out of school youth to promote social engagement, fitness and their well-being. It also creates opportunities for talent identification and development in four (4) sporting codes being football, netball, volleyball and athletics.
