Procedure

Apply In Person/by Post

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall approach the Crop Production office. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
2. You have to submit an Import Permit at the Crop Production Office.
3. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
4. The applicant shall present the Import Permit and documents to the Crop Production Office in Person or by Post. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
5. After the documents are verified, The Inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
6. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

• Commercial invoice
• Sales Contract
• Packing list
• Name and address of the importer
• Name and address of the exporter
• Mode of transport details
• Name and quantity of consignment to be exported

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
