Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To apply for license or permit to do Guinea Fowl farming, the applicant should visit the Department of Wildlife and National Parks office which is under the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism. (Please view address details under office and location contact section below).
2. Applicants are required to complete the Guinea Fowl Farming Application Form, forms are available at the Enquiries Desk at the Department of Wildlife and National Parks office or directly download it via this link;(Application form)
3. Submit the completed forms, attach to the supporting document file {as listed under the required document section below} to the nearest Wildlife Office where the project is going to be established.
4. The wildlife authorized officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria, if everything is in order the application file will be registered and recorded and you will be issued with an acknowledgment letter containing details of your application.
5. You will be contacted for an inspection of the “pen” (where the guinea fowl will be housed) as per the guinea fowl structure guidelines (please refer to “Information which might help” section of this page for more information)
6. On the scheduled inspection date, the department will send an inspector to inspect the “pen” and write a report.
7. A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required to rectify the problem.
8. Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the inspection team to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation (where applicable).
9. The permit will be issued to you by surface mail, email, or collected in person should all aspects of the application process be satisfactory.

• Certified copy of Title Deed, Lease Agreement Form, or Plot Certificate
• A certified copy of a valid National Identity Card (Omang)
• A certified copy of Passport for Non-Citizens
• Letter of consent and certified copy of identity card from the landlord (if the land is leased)
• Guinea fowl structure or the pen (where the guinea fowl will be housed)
