Belgium - Apply for a Transit Visa
ProcedureEdit
- The applicant is required to download a Visa application form .
- The applicant should also acquire a cover letter from his employer so as to start applying for a business visa.
- The applicant is required to pay visa fees at a designated bank and acquire a receipt acknowledging payment.
- The applicant then submits a fully filled and signed visa application form together with the payment receipt and cover to a Belgium embassy in their country or at an entry point into Belgium.
- After a few days a Belgian Visa will be issued to the applicant upon fulfilling all the requirements for Visa application.
- Transit Visas cannot be changed or extended.
- If your travel plans change after the visa is issued you will need to re-apply for a new one.
- Any visa applicant may be interviewed by a consular officer if necessary.
Required DocumentsEdit
- You will need a visa application form. which you can download,online print and sign the visa application.
- You will need an Original, a signed Valid passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Passport-type photograph: 1
- Itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.
- Additional required documents for minors (under 18):
- Birth Certificate.
- A copy of the applicant's birth certificate.
- Letter of Consent.
- A NOTARIZED letter of consent signed by both parents, authorizing the Embassy to issue a transit visa to the child.

EligibilityEdit
Citizens of a country that Belgium requires to have a visa for entry into Belgium but are staying for less than 7 - 10 days.
FeesEdit
- The Foreign Government Official, Immediate Family, Attendant, Servant or Personal Employee, in Transit are not required to pay for a Transit Visa in Belgium.
- They are categorized as group C3.

Belgium Transit visa is valid for 7 to 10 days.

- You can obtain your transit visa at an entry point into Belgium. This could be airport, border points or seaports.
- Travelers entering Belgium by road are advised to pass through the gazetted entry points and report immediately to an Immigration Officer.
- Traveler must be in possession of a valid passport and onward ticket, and must remain in the airport transit area in case they have used an airport means.
- The travelers passport must have at least 2 clear blank visa pages available for the visa stamp(s).

Need for the DocumentEdit
A transit Visa is issued to a foreigner who intends to go through Belgium to a third destination. Transit visas are required for passengers of connecting flights, unless they stay within the transit area of the airport between flights and for passengers of cruise ships visiting Belgium.
