ProcedureEdit

  1. Go to the Immigration Department in Barbados, or at one of Barbados' thirteen diplomatic and consular missions abroad.
  2. If you are more than 16 years of age, you should complete an 'Application for a Barbados Passport' Form A in your own hand-writing. To download Form A, click on this link: http://www.immigration.gov.bb/documents/Form%20A.pdf. Use Block Letters for all names except your signature.
  3. Applications for children under the age of 16 should be made on Form B. To download Form B, click on this link: http://www.immigration.gov.bb/documents/Form%20B.pdf.
  4. The application form should be accompanied by two (2) photographs. The photographs should not be more than five (5) centimetres by five (5) centimetres and should be taken by a professional photographer.
  5. Please ensure that you sign your name in the boxes provided at the bottom of page two of the application form as well as the Declaration at Section 11, page four.

Processing TimeEdit

The average processing time for a passport is seven (7) working days. But processing period varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. The processing period for the Immigration Department in Barbados is 14 days.

InstructionsEdit

  • First-time applicants and applicants holding a Barbados passport issued before 30 November 1966, should submit their original birth certificate along with their application.
  • Parents or guardians must submit the application on behalf of children 16 years or under, accompanied by the minor.
