Procedure

Apply online:

1. To Apply for Passport, the applicant has to make an online via the Department of Immigration and Passports link
2. The applicant has to select the district and police station which is nearest to the application region.
3. Click the “Continue” button after selecting.
4. The applicant has to enter the email address and click the “Next” button.
5. The applicant has to enter the account information and click the “Continue” button.
6. Also, upload the necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. Pay the required amount of fee in online mode.
8. Fee details are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
9. Once the payment process is completed, the applicant has to click the “Successful” button.
10. Select the appointment date for biometric purposes and click the “Submit” button.
11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
13. The applicant has to visit the office for the biometric purpose.
14. Once the process gets completed, the applicant will get the passport license from the office.
15. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

NOTE: In case of any fast delivery, the applicant will get the passport through the post.
