Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant has to submit an Application Form to the Department of Civil Aviation, Bahamas. Link to Contacts
2. The Applicant can download the Form from the following Form Link.
3. This form is to be used by anyone with Bahamian status for the conversion of foreign airman licenses issued by ICAO Contracting States.
4. Anyone not holding a Bahamian status will be issued a validation.
5. Complete the application form with all details.
6. After filling in all the details, submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Civil Aviation along with the corresponding Fee.
7. Please note that any airman license not issued in English to be presented for validation must be accompanied by a certified English translation by the issuing ICAO Contracting State.
8. After submission, the authority will review the application.
9. The applicant will be informed through the proper communication channel regarding approval or rejection of the application.
10. The applicant should then visit the office to collect the permit.

Eligibility

The Applicant must be:

• Minimum 17 Years old.
• High School Graduate.
• Able to Read, Write and Speak English
• Pass Medical Exam

The processing fee is B$9.60
