Bahamas - Renewal Foreign Licenses and Permit for Cargo Operations

Apply In-Person
- The Applicant has to submit an application in Form 1 to the Department of Marine Resources, The Bahamas.
- Visit the following link for Family Island Contact Details Link.
- The Applicant can download the Form from the following Form Link.
- Complete the application form with all details.
- After filling all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Marine Resources along with the corresponding Fee.
- The applicant will be granted with a provisional licence/temporary permit within 2 working days of submission of the documents and this license is valid till the applicant receives the original Permit.
- Upon completion of the above process the applicant will be informed through the proper communication channel.
- The applicant should then visit the office to collect the permit.

EligibilityEdit
An Air Cargo Operator's Permit can be granted only to:
a) a citizen of Bahamas; or
b) a group of individuals of Bahamian Nationality or a registered trust/society; or
c) a Non-Resident Bahamian/Overseas Corporate Bodies; or
d) a company registered under the Companies Act, having its principal place of business within Bahamas and with or without foreign equity participation as approved by Government from time to time.
FeesEdit
The processing fee is B$500.00 per annum.
ValidityEdit
The permit is valid for one year.
