Procedure

Apply Online

1. To obtain a New Connection of Water and Sewage, the applicant must visit the Water and Sewage Connection portal Online Portal Link.
2. Click on the following link to open the APPLICATION AND AGREEMENT FOR WATER SUPPLY/AND/OR CONNECTION TO SEWERS.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions, provide the necessary details in applicable fields and complete the application form.
4. Applications are to be submitted by the owner(s) or his/her agent, or a tenant in whose name the lease or rent receipt appears. If acting as agent, the application should be accompanied with a notarized power of attorney or written authorization in their favour from the owner(s). The owner(s)/tenant(s) are required to bring in proof of identification, i.e. valid passport(s), and national insurance card(s).
   • In case of joint ownership, all owners e.g. husband and wife or their authorized agent must sign.
   • In case of tenants, the application must be accompanied by copy of the lease and/or proof of payment of rents or deposit.
   • In case of Limited Company, the application must be signed by two or more directors of the Company.
   • In case of a church, not for profit or similar association, at least two trustees must sign.
5. Also, upload the required documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below.
6. In the final step, read the terms carefully and then click on the “I have read and accepted the terms” check box.
7. Click on the “Submit” button to complete the process.
8. Within the 48 hours the application will be processed and the Customer Services staff will send notification regarding the applicable charges.
9. Make the required payment.

   Note: Only cash, certified cheque or credit card payments are accepted. Personal cheques are accepted from customers with existing accounts in good credit standing only.

10. After ten (10) workings days from receipt of payment, the connection(s) will be made.

Required Documents

Requirements for a New Connection in the owner’s name (Only the owner(s) of the property can apply)

• Completed new connection form (all owners have to sign the form)
• Passport
• National Insurance Card
• Proof of ownership:
  

– Conveyance (Land papers)

– Letter from the lawyer addressed to W&S stating the legal owner(s) of the property.

– Bank letter if there is a mortgage addressed to W&S stating the legal owner(s) of the property.

Requirements for a New Connection in a company/church name

• Completed new connection form (have to be signed by two directors/trustees).
• Resolution authorizing the two directors/trustees to sign on behalf of the company/church.
• Proof of ownership – Conveyance or Letter from attorney or Bank letter addressed to W&S if there is a mortgage.
• Articles of Association
• Certificate of good standing
  

Note: A tenant can apply for a new connection if they can provide a lease agreement that has a contract of five or more years.

Instructions

Upon failure to make payments within six (6) months or more, the Corporation can use the applicant’s service deposit to balance the outstanding amount.
