Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Change Trade Name for Pest Control Product, businesses are required to apply to the Business Licence Office link
2. Collect the application form from online or any Business Licence Offices
3. The applicant completes and submits the application form.  Note: the applicant must tick the “change in Business Name” box on the form.   Where there are not Business Licence Offices, the form can be returned to a Treasury Office or a Family Island Administrator.

   Note: if any identified names are rejected, the applicant will be notified that the name choice was rejected and would be advised to select from the remaining choices previously given on the form.

4. Once all document requirements are met and the name is approved, the application is then processed within 7 working days.  The BLU office will contact the applicant to inform them that they can collect their licence.
5. The applicant pays the licence fee on collection of the licence.

• Letter of authorization for Third Parties/Appointed Representatives, where a Third Party is used, such as an accountant or lawyer authorising them to conduct business on their behalf.

• Limited Liability Partnerships
• Limited Liability Company
• Sole-  Proprietorships
• Home Based Businesses

Fees

The Business Licence name change application fee is BS$10.

Validity

The updated license will have the same validity as the original.
