ProcedureEdit

  1. Complete an application form. Link to download the form is provided under the 'Documents to Use' section. The form must be printed on a legal size (8 by 14) sheet of paper.
  2. Pay the application fee. The fee can be paid online (OR) you can attach a money order or cashiers check (DO NOT SEND CASH) to the application for the correct fee made out to the Arkansas Department of Education.
  3. Before you send out your application and payment, contact the Office of Educator Licensure for other documents you will need to include in your application (contact number is provided below).
  4. Your application and payment must be sent to the Office of Educator Licensure.

NOTE: Incomplete applications will be returned without action, with omissions checked.

FeesEdit

Five year standard license: $75

The fee for a license can be paid online (OR) you can attach a money order or cashiers check (DO NOT SEND CASH) to the application for the correct fee made out to the Arkansas Department of Education.



ValidityEdit

A standard, five-year Arkansas Educator License has a beginning date of January 1 of the year it is issued and an expiration date of December 31 of the fifth year.

InstructionsEdit

The Office of Educator Licensure is in charge of issuance and renewal of teaching licenses, adding additional areas of licensure to a current educator license and licensing by reciprocity from another state. The Office provides technical assistance to educators who are licensing for the first time through an Arkansas college/university, or through a Non-Traditional Licensure Program.
