United Arab Emirates - Apply for a Pilgrim Card

  1. To apply for a Pilgrim Card you will need to register electronically, this can be done through an accredited registration centres/ or by other means announced by Awqaf). Registration is done using the Emirates ID card e-reader. You will need to personally submit copy of your passport with unified number page at one of the authorised centres. Authorised Registration Centres:
    1. Awqaf branches across the UAE.
    2. Tamm service centres in Western region.
    3. Tas’heel service centres affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resource and Emiratisation.
    4. Branches and offices of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai.
    5. Branches and offices of Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department.
    6. Offices of the accredited Hajj and Umrah contractors.
  2. You will receive a SMS with your reference number to follow up the status of application.
  3. Once your application is processed, you will be notified regarding the result of your application.
  4. After you have received a SMS with approval,you will be directed to select the preferred Hajj campaign.
  5. Hajj campaigns will enter their programmes, services and prices in the system. You will need to choose your preferred Hajj contractor through the Awqaf’s online service, and then complete administrative and financial procedures:
    1. Enter your reference number or Emirates ID number and the mobile number used for registration.
    2. Click on 'Continue'
    3. You will receive SMS with verification code that you will need to enter in the next screen to continue.
  6. Your next step is medical check-up at the clinics accredited by health authorities in the UAE:
    1. You will need to carry out medical test and take necessary vaccines at one of the authorised medical centres. Emirates ID or reference number is required to do so. In case you failed to do the medical test,you will receive a SMS reminder to do so.
    2. Once finished, the medical report will be uploaded to the Hajj registration system.
  7. Printing of the card:
    1. Once the application is approved by the Hajj contractor, you should sign the contract and pay the fees.
    2. After this, the contractor will issue the pilgrim card and hand it over to you before leaving to perform Hajj rites.
