United Arab Emirates - Apply for a Firearms License (Gun Permit)

  1. You can apply for a firearms license or a gun permit online through the Ministry of Interior's website - link.
  2. Click the desired service.
  3. Complete the E- Form, and Pay the fees electronically.
  4. Get your reference bar code then attach the required documents.
  5. After your transaction a text message will be sent to you.

In person

  1. Complete and submit the new firearm licence application form along with the required documents at the Weapons Licensing Branch.
  2. Pay the fees.
  3. Once approved your licence will be issued.

Required Documents[edit]

  • New firearm licence application form: Original
  • Passport: Original + Copy
  • Full family book: Copy
  • Personal photo: 1 photo
  • Good conduct certificate: Original
  • Labour card: Copy
  • Emirates ID card: Copy
  • Health certificate: Issued by the Health Authority (Original)
