Apply In-Person:
- To apply for a TESDA National Certificate (NC) / Certificate of Competency (COC), the applicant has to approach the TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) assessment center link
- NOTE: Enter the center name and select the region, qualification, province and click the “Search” button to check the nearest center.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority at the cashier counter.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgement receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Be present at the scheduled date and assigned venue of the assessment indicated in the Admission Slip.
- NOTE: Don’t forget to bring the admission slip on the assessment date.
- Get the Competency Assessment Result Summary (CARS) at the Assessment Center.
- Now the applicant (Assessment passers) must apply for certification at the TESDA District/Provincial Office where the assessment center/venue is under jurisdiction.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The applicant can get their National Certificate (NC) / Certificate of Competency (COC) from the office.
- This entire process can be completed within 7 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- TESDA implements assessment and certification for all qualifications with promulgated Training Regulations.
- The competency requirements, as defined in the relevant Training Regulations shall be the take-off point of all corresponding qualifications, assessments, and certifications in all industry sectors.
- National Certificate is issued when a candidate has demonstrated competence in all units of competency that comprised a Qualification.
- A certificate of Competency is issued to individuals who have satisfactorily demonstrated competence on a particular or cluster of units of competency.

- Mandatory assessment is given to graduating students of WTR-registered programs. Assessment may be conducted in the facilities of the private TVIs designated as assessment venues. However, assessment must be facilitated by the TESDA Regional/Provincial Office or the TTI-TACs immediately after training.
