Philippines - Renew Gun (Firearms) License

Procedure[edit]

You are a Filipino citizenship, at least 21 years old. You held your Gun (Firearms) License / LTOPF. This License can be renewable every 2 years. Please follow the below guide to do it. For those who intend to renew their expired LTOPF, please understand that only those licenses which expired beginning 2013 will be processed. Those whose licenses had expired prior to 2013 will have to wait for any gun amnesty before you could apply for renewal.

I . Prepare the requirements:

  1. Two of the Application form Application for Quezon, Please get the appropriate application for your province;
  2. NBI clearance;
  3. DI clearance (Directorate for Intelligence clearance);
  4. Neuro test;
  5. Drug test;
  6. Cedula/Community Tax Certificate or any valid government-issued ID;
  7. The old LTOPF if applicable;
  8. Pencil and ID pictures;
  9. Proof of payment.

II . Renew Gun (Firearms) License

  1. Create your online account if you don’t have one
    Enter the portal Online, create your account and apply for LTOPF renewal. This requires you to upload the below documents.
  2. Complete uploading application form, DI clearance, NBI clearance, the neuro and drug tests
    You can either scan the documents or use your phone to take photos. And you do not have to upload them all in one day, you can do it one-at-time on separate days.
    • Upload the application form and NBI clearance For the application form, please get it at the link Application for Quezon, Please get the appropriate application for your province. Complete it and scan or photo taken it with your NBI clearance. Finally, upload them on your online account.
    • Obtain DI clearance and perform the Neuro test and Drug test Bring your Cedula/Community Tax Certificate or a valid government-issued ID and visit a suitable PNP office Office Location and apply for DI clearance for LTOPF. Follow officer’s guide and pay the cashier for DI before lining up to get your DI clearance. Then, line up to a separate queue and pay for the Neuro test and Drug test. Do your drug test and bring a pencil and your ID picture to take the neuro exam. The results of the neuro and drug tests will be uploaded automatically to your account. You should wait for about 10 days for finish process of uploading the DI, NBI and the application form.
    • Collect and upload the proof of payment You will receive a reference number to pay the fees by your online account. From that you have some options to pay the fees such as pay at land bank, etc. and you should collect the proof of payment to upload this proof to your online account. Now, you are in confirmation process and normally you should wait about 3 days for this.
  3. Claim the renewal Gun (Firearms) License
Bring the original application form, DI, NBI, old LTOPF (if applicable) and proof of payment, then visit the PNP office Office Location. If you did not have the old LTOPF, you should follow officer’s guide to get a printout of it but it will take more time. After present the required documents, you just wait for calling your name and go to another line for printing your renewal Gun (Firearms) License.

Fees[edit]

Php800 application fee for reference because the fee will depend on your status as a senior, a private individual or a government employee, and depend on type of your Firearm and also type of the License.
