Philippines - Obtain a Pet Passport (Import Export or Transport Pet)

Procedure[edit]

Importing pets to the Philippines

  1. You will need to download the Application to import pets permit and contact Bureau of Animal Industry, National Veterinary Quarantine Service.
  2. You will need to obtain a health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin, which indicates that the pet has been examined and is free from communicable diseases. This must be done at least ten (10) days before the travel to the Philippines. If the country of origin is not free from rabies, a certification that there has been no rabies cases within a 20 kilometer radius of the pets home in the last six (6) months.
  3. You will also need to obtain vaccination card showing your pets vaccination for rabies, canine distemper, infectious hepatitis, leptospirosis, canine parvovirus, or feline panleucopenia and proof that the animal was treated for internal and external parasites.
  4. The fee will be paid upon arrival in the Philippine airport.

You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest Philippine Embassy in the country you are currently staying. The embassy may be able to help you process your request to obtain a pet passport or import permit for your pet.

Required Documents[edit]

Note: NTC issued Memorandum Order No. 10-10-2017 last October 27, 2017, directing all telecommunications providers in the country to migrate all its customers to eight-digit telephone numbers.

A customer who still incorrectly dials the old seven-digit number will hear a special announcement saying the format has been changed to eight-digit, for a period of three months after the migration (March 18, 2019 to June 17, 2019).
