Procedure[edit]


Please read the guide below to understand how to obtain a Barangay Certificate:

  1. Prepare the requirements:
    • Your recent Community Tax Certificate or Cedula;
    • The application form (that can be taken from the Barangay Hall)

  2. Apply for the Barangay Certificate
    Visit the Barangay Hall or Municipal Hall Map in your place of residence. Inform the officer that you are applying for a Barangay Certificate. You should state the reason why you need this certificate and request the application form and complete it. Submit the required documents and pay the applicable fee. Now you can wait for your Barangay Certificate to be released. The processing time is in day.

Note: NTC issued Memorandum Order No. 10-10-2017 last October 27, 2017, directing all telecommunications providers in the country to migrate all its customers to eight-digit telephone numbers.

A customer who still incorrectly dials the old seven-digit number will hear a special announcement saying the format has been changed to eight-digit, for a period of three months after the migration (March 18, 2019 to June 17, 2019).

Vary on the Barangay but usually about Php100

Validity[edit]

You are a Philippines resident. You have been living for six months or more in a barangay. You can apply and get the Barangay Certificate or Barangay Certificate of Residency. This document certifies that you are a good resident in the barangay and have a good moral character. It also signifies that you do not have any negative record and this is necessary in any official transactions.
