Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Provisional Work Permit, the applicant has to approach the Public Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) at Bureau of Immigration office link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant can download the application form from the following Link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. This entire process can be completed within 15- 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
  12. Once approved, the applicant may claim your SWP and ACR I-Card.

  • Additional information about the applicant’s offspring (if needed)


For Petitioners Similar to applicant requirements, the petitioner must also submit documentary pre-requisites for the PWP application. Below are the following documents:

  • Photocopy of Petitioner’s Income Tax Return (ITR) with proof of payment. Submit the photocopy of the following documents:
  • For Corporations or Partnerships:
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Certificate of Registration;
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • General Information Sheet for the current year, stamped received by SEC


For Single Proprietorships:

  • Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Certificate of Registration of Business Name
  • Mayor’s Permit

EligibilityEdit

  • Foreign nationals seeking to secure employment in the Philippines must obtain a Provisional Work Permit, along with their current visa.



FeesEdit

  • Foreign nationals with ACR I-card must pay Php 6,440, plus an additional USD $50 annually.
  • Foreign nationals without ACR I-card must php 6,440



ValidityEdit

  • A Provisional Work Permit PWP is only valid for six months, given that it will be renewed every three months. A foreign national who holds a PWP must ensure to secure their work visa before the end of this period.
