Procedure[edit]
- To apply for a passport for minors, applicants must visit a Department of Identifications office.
- Complete an application and submit it together with these documents:
- Applicant's current identity card
- Permission of the minor issued by the Court of Peace or judicial leave issued by the Court of the child or adolescence
- In case the child will be travelling with their parents, they must sign a book of minutes in the Passport Department, which will state that the child will be accompanied by the same
- Parental identity card in force
- Pay the application fee.
- It will take about 15 days for your application to be processed.

You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest Paraguayan Embassy in the country you are currently staying. The Embassy's consular service section will process your request to obtain a passport for minors.

The Identification Department of the National Police is in charge of issuing passports to citizens, through its offices throughout the country.
