Apply In-Person:
- To apply for registering for a Police Biometric Central Motor Registry in person, the applicant has to visit the nearest office of the Nigerian Police Force.

- Visit the office and approach the Police Biometric Central Motor Registry (BCMR) to obtain an application form for registering for a Police Biometric Central Motor Registry.
- Before visiting the office, the applicant has to visit any designated bank and buy the police BCMR scratch card by paying the specified amount of money.
- Note that the applicant should bring the scratch card when he/she visits the NPF office.
- Complete the obtained application form by filling it with the personal particulars and particulars of the vehicle in the respective fields.
- After completing the application form, submit it to the relevant official who will capture your biometrics for further processing.
- The submitted information will be recorded in the BCMR system and a confirmation slip will be provided which will act as an acknowledgement in the meantime.
- When all the necessary processes are over and the applicant’s vehicle has been successfully registered, an SMS with all the registration details will be sent to the applicant.
- A smartcard which is the actual product of the process will be later issued with prior notification.

- Any vehicle owner in Nigeria, who wishes to obtain a smartcard issued by the Police BCMR, can apply.
- The applicant should have a proof of ownership for the particular vehicle.
