1.Go to the Nigeria Immigration Service headquarters with all the necessary document which must include a passport photograph and an introductory letter from the appointing body;
2.Submit application with support documents to the immigration office and wait for the passport to be processed;
To apply online visit the Nigerian Immigration Service website https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pages/welcome and on this page, under the heading Passport, select the prompt ePassport Application Form, this will lead you to http://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/epassport. on this page, select the type of passport you would like to apply for and then click on the prompt start application the system to take you through the other steps of application .

1.An applicant must have been approved by Nigerian christian pilgrims commission in Nigeria to visit a Holy lands.
2.Be aware that having a Pilgrim passport is not guarantee for international travel;
3.Endeavor to obtain proof of appointment before applying for the Pilgrim passport;
4.Applicants must be aware that Nigerian Diplomatic missions abroad cannot issue Nigerian Pilgrim Passports;
5.The children and spouse of an appointed visit a holy land may also apply for Nigerian Pilgrim Passports;
6.Applications must be submitted in person;
7.Before being allowed to enter a foreign country, even with a diplomatic passport, a person must fulfill all the requirements of the foreign country to be visited;

3.Sex of applicant
4.Details of duties assigned to the applicant
5.Date of Visiting the Holy land
6.Duration of appointment by Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission
7.Expiration of the visit to the Holy land.
8.Foreign country in which the applicant shall be visiting .
Need for the Document
A Pilgrims Passports are issued to Nigerian Citizen who are intending to visit the Holy lands in a Foreign country; a Pilgrims Passport in Nigeria has a different color cover designed each year and is issued to all citizen of the country. Nigerian passports are issued by the Passport office (Nigeria Immigration Service) and diplomatic missions (Nigerian Embassies / High Commission / Consulate Offices) abroad. However the Nigerian Pilgrim passport is issued by the approval from Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission and can only be obtained from the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters in Sauka Abuja
